Unboxing Catrice: A Beauty Review by Maggie De

Hey there, lovely readers! It’s your girl, Maggie De, back with another beauty review. Today, we’re diving deep into a box of Catrice products I recently ordered. Let’s see if they live up to the hype!

1. The Allure of Cream Eyeshadow Sticks

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I have a soft spot for cream eyeshadow sticks. So, naturally, I was drawn to Catrice’s aloe vera eyeshadow sticks. I picked up four subtle shades: Touch of Rose, Golden Toffee, Olive Glam, and Lavender Brown. But do they blend? We’ll get to that.

2. Foundations: A Tale of Two Textures

While browsing Catrice’s website, two foundations caught my eye:

  • HD Liquid Coverage Foundation: This mattifying foundation boasts of being water and sweat-proof with added niacinamide. However, for my dry skin, it was a tad too drying.
  • True Skin Hydrating Foundation: Infused with hyaluronic acid, this foundation promises long wear. I got it in the shade 10 cool Cashmere. It offers medium to full coverage, which is a bit more than I usually go for. But the hydrating formula makes it comfortable to wear.

3. Concealer Chronicles

I was intrigued by the all-over concealer palette, which includes three concealers and two color correctors. Sadly, the pink corrector was too dark for me, and the overall coverage was patchy. Another product I had high hopes for was the ultimate camouflage cream. It seemed like a potential dupe for my favorite Bobby Brown corrector. However, the stiff formula was a letdown.

4. The Under Eye Brightener Rollercoaster

The Catrice under eye brightener seemed like a dream at first. It’s super opaque and brightens the eye area beautifully. But, it creases terribly after a few minutes. Such a rollercoaster of emotions!

5. Mascara and More

The Glam and Doll mascara by Catrice is decent. It’s not the most dramatic, but it’s smudge-proof and easy to remove. As for the cream eyeshadow sticks, they were a disappointment. They don’t blend well, and the pigment is too light.

6. A Glimmer of Hope: The Bronzer

On a brighter note, I did enjoy the baked bronzer. It has a subtle luminosity and is perfect for those who prefer a sheer finish with a hint of radiance. Just be cautious if you’re very fair-skinned; it might be a tad dark.

Final Thoughts on Catrice

While I had high hopes for Catrice, not all products were winners for me. The cream eyeshadow sticks and concealers were particularly disappointing. However, I’ll keep an eye on Catrice for any standout products in the future.

Thanks for joining me on this beauty journey! Remember, makeup is all about experimenting and finding what works best for you. Until next time, stay fabulous!

Love,
